Mom leaves her kids at a Fire station after Dad says he doesn't want them

Authorities in Texas are hoping to find relatives of two young boys ages 9-month-old and 2-year-old  left at a fire station by their mother.
The mother was seen arguing with the father of the kids near the fire station on Monday, when the father told her he didn’t want the children anymore, according to the Houston Fire Department.

The mother went to the fire station and told firefighters she was unable to take care of the children alone. Firefighters told her she could leave but she could not take the children with her because of the state she was in. She left the children there.
“The firefighters saw that the children were under some duress so they wanted to make sure they were comforted so they had some stuffed animals on-site for them … they tried to make a very unpleasant situation as pleasant as possible,” Kenyatta Parker of the Houston Fire Department told ABC News.
When police and Harris County Child Protective Services were called in, they tracked down the mother for questioning. Their names have not been released.
Texas Safe Haven Laws, also known as Baby Moses Laws, allows parents to leave babies 60 days or younger at fire stations, hospitals or EMS stations. Neither child in this case fits that criteria. It is unclear whether the mother will face charges, but Estella Olguin of Child Protective Services says it is unlikely.
Child Protective Services says the children are in a foster home, and their case worker is in court today seeking an official custody court order.
CPS says it remains in contact with the mother but the father never came forward.
