The inaugural edition of the writemothers initiative was held at TBWA\Concept on the 3rd of Sept. The event was opened by TBWA\CONCEPT’s M.D and AAAN President, Kelechi Nwosu who introduced the first speaker, Mrs Bola Thomas, former AAAN President and one of the founders of LTC Advertising. In her capacity as one of the pioneer women in advertising in Nigeria, she talked about the historical challenges for women in Advertising, stressing that “women should be empowered and not be limited by their gender”

The finalists were then presented with their certificates of participation and inducted into the TBWA\CONCEPT family.
As a start of their learning and development , a creative writing workshop facilitated by Mrs Ijeoma Oqwuegbu-Uduma, a script writer for MNET Nigeria (Tinsel and Hotel Majestic) introduced our new WriteMothers to the essentials of creative writing.
